Well, ya know I was just making the comment, because pretty much everybody was leading you away from the 211. But because they are on your benchtop you want to use them. You're just trying to get someone to tell you to use them so you can feel good about using the wrong cam for your setup.
If I were doing it step by step, I would do this:
1]. Good EFI tuner.
2]. 95" big bore kit.
3]. Head work.
4]. Andrews 37H cam.
Also good to do, would be the crank truing and welding, timken bearing conversion and the SE compensator. The lower end of these motors is not as strong as people think.
When I do my motor build, the bottom end is where I'm starting.
redrubicon has a strong motor, both in power and because he did the bottom end work, in longevity.

looking for insight on the 211 cams...
happy mothers day..lol
Man that's my build, great bang for the buck, got my 211s off of ebay. Went with SE high compression pistons and a 42mm Mikuni carb and the SE racing ignition for that setup. Been running it for 17k miles and don't regret a thing. Sure there are more aggressive cams and better stuff out there but I'm happy with my setup. I did run 203's for about 5k miles and the low end torque was strong, but the 211's kill them in the mid range.
I eat 96"s with stage one all day, and have outrun a road king with a 103" build. No dyno numbers or drag times. Be prepared to spend more money on rear tires
i would get all my parts lined up,get everything you need for your build,gaskets,parts,gaskets,...research everything, get a manual, read it alot.....there is a site called harley hogs lair,he shows how to put on a big bore kit,95",do all the research you can...get your build together, and do it all at one time......you will notice a bigger difference then....plus you won't have to go into the motor but once.......that will save you a lil $ .
Thanks guys, hey wild bill...w/ those high comp. Se pistons..what cylinders ?
I have:
1) i have se air
2) se ignition
3) vh big radius exhaust
so to match your build i would:
1)have to do cams...either my 211 or the andrews 37
2) se high comp. Pistons and cyl.
3) mik. 42..
Anything im missing..
Thanks...this is knda the dirction i was heading..i think ?? Lol
High compression pistons and Andrews 37 cams won't work together. 37's dont typically like more than 10:1. If you go over 10:1 with a carb, be prepaired to use octane booster...not fun.
