I usually park on the sidewalk in front of the store or in those diagonally marked spaces. If those aren't available I'll park in a normal spot but do it diagonally and far enough out where cars can see the bike in the spot and they won't try to pull in then all of a sudden find a bike there when it's too late. Well at least I'm hoping they will see it.

Top, I can feel your pain but man, worrying about stuff like that all the time is gonna take the fun out of the ride. Relax.

I forgot sometimes I don't park it anywhere and just roll it into the store with me. Most of the cashier lanes need to be upgraded around here cause it's hard to squeeze the bike into them.

I actually spent a few minutes visualizing this.

I park in regular parking spaces. I make sure I'm in the center and forward enough so the bike can be seen. If there are other bikes, I park next to them.

Parking on the stripes or sidewalks may not be illegal but it's rude.

Generally, I'll find a spot that's in the corner of a lot and is shaded. I'll try to eat where I can see the bike ..... if I cant it's no big deal. You might try parking around back of stores where the employees park ..... then again you might become really psychotic knowing the bike was in back where folks like "bikers" hang out.... LOL ..... just kidding

I do this too. I'm iffy about parking on sidewalks or by storefronts...not sure which venues will get pissed about it, or where cops might ticket for it. If I do have to park in a standard space, I do my best to find another bike that's already parked, or I park out away from all the cars.
