Yea, I tried moving them on the trip and it did not seem to make much difference. This is my first Dyna and just may need to get use to them. last bike was a Duece and the bar/riser combo on it was very comfortable. found a set of take offs form duece I may try on this bike.
OK.. just wondering. I have mine pulled back quite a bit, so my hands end up about as low as these bars would allow, without getting into clearance issues with the tank.
I've been thinking of going drag bars, with a low riser. I think I'd like to go with just a straight bar. I'd need to bring it back far enough (I'm only 5'8" - not very long arms), but I want to keep them as low as possible.
I don't know if I'd like it as far as comfort, but, I like the look. Unfortunately, it would cost me some $$$ to figure out if I liked it or not.
I felt the same way with the stock mini apes, never could find the sweet spot. But then I am 6'1" with monkey arms, so I have mine pushed forward. I went bigger, taller and wider and have been very happy with the change as far as comfort goes.
I had the same problem with the mini apes on my Street Bob so I switched to Flanders flat track bars.Probably not the look you're going for but plenty comfortable and no change in cables necessary.
