motor oil level

Default motor oil level

on a 1584, is it normal that i getting the same reading on the level unit
if it is cold or hot. i let the bike run for 4 min about and i get the same reding
when it is cold...i am doing something wrong....yes on the stand..

Man....I just asked basically the same question yesterday....dunno, I am thinking Gremlins....

Mine is fine now, after sitting 24 hours....dunno what to tell you.

Realestate man I'm glad you didn't add then! Fatbob the temp will make a difference when the bike is really hot , and it's not a great idea to let it idle four minutes especially if it is hot these guys are air cooled .

There's very little difference between mine hot/cold ..hot is maybe 1/8" higher than cold. If that makes any sense.

seriously man..you can let these bikes idle upwards of 10-12 min with no issues at all

You are right I guess I forgot the eventuality of being stuck in traffic! I just hate it when that parade duty kiks in.

who said 10 -12 min....i said 4 closer to three. i start my bike, put coat, gloves,
helment glasses, closer to three than 10-12....when your at the lights, you may
stay thier 3 min.......by waiting about 3 min while i gear up, i lets the bike warm
up slowly..i know for sure that it will not damage my bike...
