Have you ever ridden a bike with a 250 or 280 tire. Fun to look at, but who wants to wrestle the bike all the time just to make a turn, or go around a curve. Wide tire bikes want to go straight. It get really interesting when there is any Debris or moisture on the road when you force the bike to lean over. It will kick out from underneath you. Ultra wide tires are fine on Show Bikes, and Drag bikes. But if you actually ride your bike, keep tire width safe and sensible. Maybe the FMCR GYSGT. can go into more detail. Agreed. I have spent some time on an '05 Victory Hammer (250 rear). It's a great looking bike but a 100 mile ride through the twisties will wear you you. It feels like you're trying to ride a gyroscope - the bike resists lean-in. You eventually get adjusted to it but it's still more effort than necessary.
