Wow.....what a difference. I added the Mustang solo seat with rider backrest today on my '09 fatbob and man what an unbelieveable difference. I only thought I liked my bike before but now I love it LOL. I'm glad I took everyone's advice and tried the Mustang. Install took all of about 5 minutes and I was able to put about 100 miles on it. Before I could only ride the bike 75 miles or so and then I would need to stop. I think with this seat I'll be able to ride tank to tank. Thanks again!
Mustang wide solo seat w/backrest 06-09 DYNA #79358
I bought it on ebay for $50 off retail with free shipping.
Looking forward to those pics. How does the seat affect riding position and distance from the pegs? Do you have mids? I have mids on my FXDB, and any seat that pushes me forward, tends to cramp my legs. Currently, while I love my seat (Drag Spec Spoon Style Seat), the look, and the ride, recently on a 200 mile ride, it did get a bit rough on the hindquarters since it is a very firm seat. I think mostly because of the stock suspension and how truly brutal it makes hitting any bumps. On a side note, I have to say, in my 15 years of riding, I have never ridden a bike with worse rear suspension. Feels like a hardtail to be honest, so I'm also interested to hear about your rear shock opinion after the change...

DP.....I have forwards on the fatbob but I don't think it moved me at all as far as riding position. I agree with the suspension.....it definitely sucks in stock form. I have had some Ohlins shocks on sport bikes over the years and I knew if I was going to install a set of shocks on a harley then it would definitely be Ohlins. I'm not gonna receive them until Tuesday so it will be next week until I know anything.
