Default Mustang Backrest

I have an HD tallboy seat on the RK, and tho not tall, I really like it. The bike has the brackets for the backrest (I assume HD version) but no backreast came with it. I have heard good and bad about the HD backrest angle. Is the Mustang better? Anybody know if it will work with my HD seat?

Thanks,

I got a Mustang seat also. I didnt get the back rest and like was already said I'm kicking myself for not getting it. But even without it's one fine seat. Went with 2 different HD seats and none compare to the riding comfort of this seat. It seems the longer I ride the more it contours to my rear. Just cant say enough about this sseat. I got this seat on E-bay for $225 and $160 for the Thin Pad. It's the last seat I'll ever buy for this bike.

Tom here. You'll never know how uncomfortable you were on your bike until you reach maximum comfort. So true

Before I could only ride the bike 75 miles or so and then I would need to stop. I think with this seat I'll be able to ride tank to tank. Thanks again!
Did you get the 16.5" wide vintage solo? I'm currently looking at that seat for my Fat Bob and am super close to pulling the trigger. Where'd you get it from?

I put a mustang wide super touring seat on my 08 fatbob this spring. After 3 500+ mile rides I'm putting the stock seat back on for an Iron Butt this month. I don't have a back rest and strapped a loaded pack to the sissybar, maybe it was too loaded but it really bothered my right knee a lot more than last year. The other mod this winter was a big sucker w/a K&N air cleaner so that might be the problem. I'm running Iso pegs with stirrups. If anybody has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
