Ordered a seat from Mustang at bike week( Those People were Great to work with made sure the seat fit the wife.) Wifes 05 Low Rider. They shipped it to the house. (they were out at the time) Wife And I did 400 mile ride on Sunday. Finely got to go for a ride. When We got back she said if it was not for the sun burn she would go again. Seat mad BIG difference from stock. Seat is the Solo studded w/ back rest. And she can Flat foot the bike now She Is 5'3"
How did she like the back rest option..... I"m in the middle of trying to decide if it's worth it...... I usually don't have a sore back after long rides, just sore backside Think I might like the backrest for really long rides but not sure if I'll get the use out of it. Also not sure about how it would look on my SB. Do you have any pics???
She really likes the back rest . When we were at mustangs tent there took the time to fit every thing to her. The backrest adjust with a thumb screw and the one that comes with the seat was to short so they gave us the longer one then and there and told us how to change it out when the seat got to us. She likes it so much I think I might have to get 1 for my road glide.
The bake rest does wonders. You no longer have to hold on for dear life when traveling at highway speeds. When you get off just fold the backrest forward so it dose not stand straight up like a sail. I have both the studded solo and the vintage wide seat with backrest. I bought the second one with the passenger seat for two up riding and I rather not have studs.
