I have an oil cooler, placed a sending unit on the input side of the cooler. I realize it is not a true "engine oil temp" but I figure it will be close enough. I am looking more for a relative reading anyway, I just want to know if my engine is running hotter than usual. I have the power run (tapped into the O/W wire under the console near the plug that feeds to speedo, it is switch powered and runs on the accessory circuit) but I have yet to find a way to mount the gauge I like. What kind of mount are you using?
