As everyone knows I support this form in both time and expertise. This forum is for the betterment of knowledge on new and improved motorcycle products from people like yourself who has some real world knowledge on many products (conversation with you on these facts). You have had a few bikes and have tried several solutions in your quest for a perfect bike. IMO your posting and experiences are of great value as you have been there and done that.
As far as pricing, if someone wishes product information they know how to do that. I think that to include that in your posting would degrade your input. A gentleman never asks what someone else paid for something. Let us leave money out of this forum posting and you are correct in answering the way you did IMO only.
I personally believe that this forum is a great teaching tool. Facts from real world experiences is what makes this HDF the best out there! Lee. let me be the first to thank you in taking your time out to selfishly give your report.

this makes no sense at all - why the mystery?
price factors into EVERYTHING we buy - why so difficult to quote the price?
also -he didn't have any input or report - because it's raining.
no doubt the ohlins will give a great ride and i'd guess the OP will be quite happy with them. in general - they look good too - but for the price (whatever that is) they should come with a black reservoir. the gold sticks out like a sore thumb (see last pic).

Of courses if anyone purchased a product, no matter from who, they have the option of changing them any way they like. Of course performance is something new in the HD market. To some, superior performance is a badge or honor just like some put 100 lb 360mm wide tires on the back of their bike. To each his own on the sore thumb part.

I actually like the gold reservoirs. The bike isn't a "cookie cutter" bike that everyone is gonna have at every event I go to. It makes the bike just a little different and for me I like it. Plus it kinda reminds me of my sport bike days when I was much younger and faster than I am now. LOL. I'm sure I could have had it chromed when I bought it but I like it the way it is.....that's just what makes us all different.

Man, fantastic Ohlins shocks you got there. Fabulous on a Ducati Monster of mine, both front and rear. Don't let the rain stop you. Go for it. About 20 minutes with some S100, and the beast is presentable again...
