Decided to try one of these out after seeing them here. I have to say I'm happy with the fit and quality. Ok it's not DOT but it is better than nothing... Threw a couple of stp stickers on there for starters:

true, they arent cheap - but i got nabbed with a **** dome and cited for non-dot which ended up costin a bunch more than $75 - Im hopin the 3/4 fools em - i could just be foolin myself though i suppose - i know youll have 40 in yer hand shortly though!!

I liked the looks of those but wanted a DOT one to save on hassles. Fulmer has DOT metalflake that looks just like that but they are expensive. I bought a basic black Fulmer DOT (looks just like your pics) for $35.00 and used a rattle can and painted is metal flake blue. Then covered the blue w/ tape and painted it w/ black and a clear metal flake coat. Came out awsome for about $45...and one of a kind for sure! Plus they have XS-XL I think.

To answer a couple of questions:
I normally wear a large helmet and this is a near perfect fit, but with the soft foam they fit all sizes.
I got mine from one of the ebay vendors for $77 plus shipping. You can check for other vendors here: http://biltwellinc.com/W2B.html
The rootbeer one looks awsome too and sometime in the future I'll probably get one of those too.
It has a goggle strap in the back and I have some WileyX goggles that work well with it.
