Default Seat swap question

My Street Bob came with a 2-up seat. I've got a different 2-up on there now. I just bought a solo seat for it.

I see the mounting screw hole for the solo seat on the fender. It seems like it rattles around, but the one for the 2-up also rattles a bit when the seat is off. Will it tighten up properly when a seat is actually there, or is it messed up?

Also, do the make a black plastic plug or something to cover the hole for the 2-up seat while the solo is on? What do you folks with 2 seats do when using the solo?

Do you have any info on the black plug? I also need to cover the plug with the solo seat on.

Go to your dealer for the plug with the little bar & shield. I think I paid $10 for 5 (meaning $2 per $.02 piece of plastic).

Put a screw in the empty hole just a little more bling, and how good is your hearing that you could hear an imagined rattle

What size screw is that? I'd probably need to get a washer too.

I bought a couple of the plastic plugs at HD, 89 cents each, but those seem to be for if you remove the mounting screw socket altogether (to plug the hole in the fender).

Unless, of course, they make a different plug, I will just put a crew in there, maybe spray it black first.

As already said, the nut will tighten up when you screw the seat down. I just went into my dealer and asked for a chrome seat nut "cap" and they guy knew just what I wanted and handed me one. It's plastic and fits right in there but it cost $6.95. I've lost 2 of them and an on my third one. They probably make something similar in black. I'm thinking of just looking for a bolt with a decorative chrome head on it that I can just put it there. The plastic ones apparently get loose when you take them out and put them back in several times and then the vibes from the bike will work them out as you go down the road.

I also put up $15.95 for a knurled seat screw with the HD logo inset in the screw head. That way I don't have to have a screwdriver to change the seats out when I want to.
