Need help with exhaust..

I have a 09 FXDC and what some more rumble from the pipes. I have heard so many different ways to do this. My first question is when and if I have do anything to the engine after adding slipons. If I change out the whole exhaust do I have to do anything to the engine. I really dont wanna mess with the engine, I just want the bike to be louder. I have a buddy that has the stock exhaust with the baffles drilled out that he has offered to put on my bike. Will this give me a good sound without messing with engine? Thanks for input!!!

I have the vance and Hines slipons . I did the Stage One download(I highly suggest this).Then I got a K&N high flow air filter(just the filter). Works/runs great!

Generally you can do the pipes or AC without a remap, but doing both requires a remap.

There are a lot of slip-ons out there that will make your bike louder. They are easy to put on and you do not have to do anything else. I bought SE and have not been happy so I do not recomend them.

drilling out stock baffles just sounds like crap (done it). SE slip ons sound like expensive crap (had 'em). I heard some Rhinehart slipons on a Wide glide the other day. They sounded great. but they're around $400, i think.
I installed Cycle Shack baffles in the FXDB stock muffler bodies. Nice n loud. If you leave the air cleaner alone, you shouldn't have make any other changes. I installed a set of XIEDs to get more fuel at higher RPM and at closed throttle.
