Exhaust Slip-ons help
I have picked up a pair of Vanes and Hines twin slash slip-on mufflers. Can I put them on or should I wait until I can get my fuelpak. I have not upgraded to a high performance air filter yet but hopefully I can do the fuelpak and filter next month. Thanks for the help

I am not an expert but from what I understand about EFI engines you should be alright just putting the slip-ons on. A new high-flow air filter or a whole new exhaust system would have a much greater impact on how the engine runs. The slip-ons tend to not effect the engine as much. I would put them on and see if the engine runs hotter and listen for any popping or skipping. If so, put the stock mufflers back on and wait until you have the air filter and fuelpak. But I wouldn't use the fuelpak without an upgraded air filter or it'll run lean guaranteed.

I was told by the dealer that you can pretty much put on any exhaust system without any other changes. I did that with Rush slip-ons. Not a problem and I rode it 4 or 5 thousand miles that way. When the intake is changed (I did stage #1) is when the fuel management needs to change also. I went with a PC5. Nice overall set-up.
