Hope this hasn't been asked to much, but I'm new to this board and gotta ask. My 06 wide glide has 650miles on it, and when I'm cruising at lower speed with very little throttle, the bike surges alittle. When you give it throttle it is fine, or if you are at highway speeds it's fine. Could this be because of the way it's detuned for epa?? I have a sert and am waiting for my thunderheader, and will install the stage 1 a/c kit as well. thanks for any help.
Welcome to the forum. Don't forget to hit the new members area and introduce yourself. If you are doing a stage 1 don't forget to reflash the ECM or you will be running way too lean. I'm doing mine next week so I bought the SERT (screaming eagle race tuner) and am having the bike dyno tuned by my dealer. If you use the search function you can find out lots of info about these bikes that will save you time & money. Bset of luck...ride safe. KB
My bike used to surge and then it started to run funnY. when I would slow down it would reve-up and then slow to idle. Then the chech engine light would come on and go off. I brought it to the dealer and after two weeks it was fixed. They changed the 8 degree injectors to the 25's.Check yours if they are #27625-06 they are the 8degree. The 25's are #27709-06A. Hope this helps.
My Low Rider runs fine, but I would like to check which injectors it has anyway.
I looked above the horn but couldn't fine anything with a part #.
Exactly where/what should I be looking for?
Thanks,
Sammi
Sammi: Look behind the horn......keep looking...again......the print is really small but it's there.....if you need the TSB #1185 pm me with your email address and I'll send you a copy......keep looking......I'm blind as a bat which means if I found it Hellen Keller can find it LOL
Yeah, blame the EPA on that. The closed loop is enabled right above idle in that portion of the map which creates the surge at parking lot speeds. That area of the map is just too damn lean. Easy enough to eliminate with the sert.

Sammi,
Look behind the horn in the center of the throttle body(between the jugs) They are angled and about 1/2" in diameter. You can see tham better with a flashlight.
I have the 8 degrees on mine and have no problems other than a slight surging at 10 - 15 mph in 1st gear. Not enough of a problem for them to change to 25 deg injectors.
