Was talking to the service writer at the dealer about putting a stage 1 ac on and wanted to know what ecm mod he liked. Said if just doing ac, slip-ons and ecm the dealer flash would be all I really needed. In fact, he said, he would do the race flash for me at no extra cost. RACE FLASH? Can someone with knowledge of this stuff explain this? I never heard of the race flash before but noticed someone from the forum mentioned the race flash. Is it really that much different?

 

I would assume he's talking about the download for stage 1 & if that's the case he's giving you a hell of a deal. The download usually goes for around $150. If you've got questions give him a call and have him explain it better.

 

Same thing, you just pay more for the second one. (no extra cost)

I sure hope he was talking about the "screaming eagle RACE tuner" type flash.... 'cause my first impression of what you wrote, is this guy is talking crap similar to "I've got a 3/4 race cam"......
