How many of you have scratches on your bike from a stupid mistake?
2 weeks ago there was some marks on my tank, so I wen to wipe and my jacket's zippers slightly scratched the tank. Once I got home I rubbed it down and I vowed if it came out I would be more careful and never clean the until I get home, and it did! However, today I was doing some stuff underneath the dash, pulled one of those clips off (the ones that you put the bolt through to secure the dash) and layed down my first un removable scratch. I'm not going to go as far as getting it painted, and i'm not going to try to use touch up paint for fear of making a bigger mess, it just bothers me because it was a thoughtless error.
so lets hear your horror stories, because no one seems to understand the feeling, so I'm assuming you guys would. Oh, and its too faint to get a pic, however to me it may as well be the size of the grand canyon.
ps, black denim paint and please no wise-**** comments, i'm sensitive right now lol

The first little scratch is the worst..... the rest don't bother so much anymore
Get a color-matched paint pen, should work just fine.
Just givin ya a hard time there.... I dropped mine just down the road in front of my house.... flat on her right side.... on gravel. My guardian angel was moving fast.... only put some small scratches on my pipes and bent my rear brake lever.... that's it.

I did mine with my motherwell rack and bungees. I was bungeeing something down and it slipped out of my hand and of course the only millimeter piece of exposed metal hit my rear fender and left a 1/4 inch unfixable scratch on top on my fender that is always exposed. I no longer use the motherwell for that just in case reason.
I once had my tank loose and I dropped it and scratched the sheeeet out of one of my rocker covers. Now with the motor ripped apart I will fix it but it really made me feel stooooped.

Pretty much sums it up. First one about makes you sick and the next one not as much then you realize **** its a motorcycle i bought it to ride its going to get a scratch here and there and you just try to be careful and keep her in good shape.
