Rattle
Hey everyone I installed the seat nut bolt for a 2 up seat on my 09 Street Bob about a month ago. When i switch back to single that seat nut bolt rattles to hell.......what can i screw into it to keep it from rattling ...
Any advice or recommendations is appreciated

You could try a thin fawcet washer from inside the fender.Or make one from a rubber repair kit. if that's too thick get a vynil repair kit for air mats and things like that.
Funny I just did mine this past week and i don't hear anything from the extra seat nut. I am considering a fender bib however. That would stop the noise for ya but a little more cost attatched!

I found another screw of the appropriate size, and put a rubber grommet on it, and snugged it up. More to help retain the captive nut than anything else.... I don't trust that flimsy little plastic "C" clip they give you...

Funny I just did this as well. Did what archer did. Got some rubber washers from Lowe's with a 1/4-20 bolt and washer. Fixed it up for me. I might try a black push in automotive type fastener over the rubber washer as it would look a little cleaner.
