2007 streetbob owners, anybody had to replace the battery yet?
Depends on how much the bike is used. If you have to replace it get the AGM (glass mat) battery. They last much longer and hold a charge longer. When I have not had time to ride in a month, I bring the battery upstairs and put it on the tender. I have a cable with a plug, but don't have an outlet in our parking garage to plug it into. After about 3.5 to 4 years, I think I would just replace it for GP. $100 is nothing compared to being broke down in a hick town on a long weekend.

I only use my tender during the winter for storage. So far I don't have any problems. I might have to start hooking my battery tender up to it though with so many others having issues. Better to be safe than sorry.

Had to replace mine due to the negative cable getting loose and melting the negative post on the battery. I never use a tender because I can usually ride it all year due to the mild winters we usually have in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

When you plug your battery into the tender do you take off your battery cover to let it vent?
