Default Which side

Got my side mount plate mount today. I can make it work on either side so now not sure which to put it on.

Since it will work on the exhaust side I am leaning towards it. Its a horizontal mount so it doesnt look like it sticks out as far since the exhaust is under it.

Got to pick up some bolts tomorrow to get it mounted.

Anyone got pics of a Horizontal mount on the exhaust side?

My first thought was primary side since that's the common location .... but your idea might look pretty cool and blend in better. I'll probably like it .... of course I got black powder parts on a silver engine with a blue bike ----> oddball stuff looks ok to me eh?

Ya once I got it on that side it looked cluttered to me as well. It sounded good in my mind though LOL

Another good reason for the primary side is that when it's on the sidestand, it leans down on that side.

More insurance that someone won't walk into it.

I was thinking the plate would hit the exhaust when your suspension unloads on bumps. Primary side looks better IMO
