wide rear tire

I have a 94 FXDS con. with a rear tire size of 130-90-16. Kind of skinny to me. would like to widen it some. I have been told I could get a narrow belt. I did see a wide tire kit for about 2 grand. which would allow up too a 200 tire. what is the widest tire I can run with the stock fender? Has anyone put a 140 on a stock setup without any problems. any help or ideals would be appricated. thanks,

Most people go with the 140 it's the fender thats to narrow to get a bigger tire in it!

I have a 2001 Sportster (same issue), 130/90-16 stock... Managed to squeeze in a AVON 150!...Thats max. Fender support and fender does not handle anymore.

I have a 99 FXDX with the 130 out back. I've looked, and I just don't see much wider fitting under there. It would almost Definitely rub on the inside of the drive belt on mine. Besides, buck the trend, run it skinny!
