driving lights installation

I have a 2000 dyna--and I should know this but....
Can I splice into the low beam wire and use it to activate the relay for
the driving lights 50w hals...

That's what I did, but not with 50w though... I think they are 35w each...

I don't know if I'll use the low beam curcuit or the running light curcuit
(to keep them on all the time)
