im looking for a cruise control for my bob. the harley ones are way to expensive. jc whitney says it has one for harleys. any one who has one and has info would help. thanks
sapperw5...try using the throttle lock between your push & pull cables on the bottom of the switch housing. If you do it right, you can get it to hold and release pretty easy with your thumb. I used that on a ride from Phoenix to Dallas and back and it worked really well.
Another neat little gadget is the Throttle Boss.Let's you rest the heel of the palm of your hand on a little tab that comes off the outer end of the grip.Lets you maintain speed with your fingers totally relaxed.
Nobody uses the thumbscrew on the factory throttle friction control? Man, I use this to death on my last 2 bikes. I can friction lock a steady speed on the highway with my thumb in 2 turns yet I can close the throttle if I need to.
