Solo Luggage rack fitment question

Solo Luggage rack fitment question
Hi all,
Thanks for the help ahead of time.
I have an 0'8 lowrider that i want to put a solo luggage rack on the back of.
(Motherwell, Milwaukee twins... etc)
The problem is: i keep finding great deals on luggage racks that are labeled up to '05 Dyna Glide. Not so great of deals labeled '06 and up.
As far as i can tell, these just bolt into the stock solo seat/ 2-up seat bolt holes so they should fit any dyna as long as the fender is the same (not bobtail)? Unless i am missing something.
I just wanted to check to see if anybody has used an older rack on a newer bike with any luck?
