I have a 5 3/4 inch Adjure sunset blvd bucket on the way to me that I got off of Ebay. My question is, has anyone mounted one of these to their bikes with the stock mounting block or am I going to have to buy one of theirs? The price on their mounting block is in the neighborhood of $50.00 and I would like to avoid having to spend the cash if I can. I have a 2007 superglide custom if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance for everyones help.

I was able to use the short mount that came with my bullet light but it was close. Its real close to the neck and I had to rework some of the wires coming through the triple tree to keep them from rubbing the light.
Glad I got it to work since I think it looks better than if i had to use one of the mounts that pushes it out.
If the mount is just to tall you can try easternperformance for a shorter mount. They also have ones that push it out for around $30 so would be cheaper than the $50
I replaced my headlight with a 6-1/2" lamp and was able to use the stock mounting block. Therefore, I have one that is about half as tall and two flat washers wider than the stock that came with my new lamp. I have no use for it. If you can't get yours to work and need this one, PM me your address and I will ship it to you.
I have a machine shop at my work. I talked to the machinist this morning and he said that he'd take some off no problem. Sounds like a good solution to what might be a problem. We'll see. Hey BBERCK, the front of your bike looks sweet with that bucket. It was one of the reasons for me to go out and get a bucket like that. I think it seems to visually stretch the bike out more than with the stock headlight.
I have a 5" 3/4 x 9" bucket. I could have gotten away with the stock mounting block from my Wide Glide. But I ended up buying one at a local indy shop for about $15 bucks because I wanted it to sit higher and further out from the trees.
Your stock block may work for you. All you have to do is ensure the back of the light doesn't hit the frame kneck, and or come in to contact with the trees.
