Sporties are around 500 lbs wet. Dyna is ~650 wet. I asked the owner about them. obviously they'll fit but not sure of the ride. I think he was willing to part with them for around $75 or so.

well, if your bike is 150lbs heavier, they will be way too soft for you. Figure a stock sprung bike is set up for the bike weight plus about a 180lb rider. Imagine the weight of you plus the additional weight of your 150lb. heavier bike compressing them. Maybe it is a good deal, but, not if they will be about useless on your bike. Not to mention attempting 2 up with them.
Now what if I got heavy duty springs. I have so many things on my plate...I need to improve my overall ride quality...get my cams in....and lord knows what else I can't think of at the moment.
I have Ohlins shocks with 00180- 97/27 L516 springs. 97= 97 mm length and the 27= 27 mm diameter. Those numbers should put you in the right ball park for springs, since I ride an '06 Streetbob and weigh about 175 plus riding gear. But, the Ohlins have adjustable preload which is very impt. for riding 2-up. Can you change preload settings on those shocks to compensate for the extra weight of a passenger? Good shocks make a world of difference in ride quality. Jay
