Since they didn't "drop in" do you think they will "drop out" when you try to remove them?
If you had to "press-fit" them in the tubes I'm thinking they are going to be a bitch to get out.
You're absolutely right Gary. I'm anticipating a day filled with frustration. and a beer or two.
On a side note, I need to make another run up to bike night your way. My girl found the pics of the girl who posed on my bike and well, let's say she was not happy. Oh well.

With this pinched nerve I haven't ridden much over the last month. I'm hoping that is going to change on Saturday when I get the forward controls on so I can stretch out. Then hopefully we can catch a Bike Nite soon. There is a guy in my neighborhood I go riding with sometimes (he rides a Suzuki C50) and he's been after me to go, too.
Since you hammered in the valves, I hope they come out for ya, without damaging them.
It'd be a drag to spend all that time and money to end up with nothing.
It is my understanding that Ricor will take them back and return your money. Have you contacted them?
I would ask them to send another set and try them and if they are still tight send both sets back for a refund. You have to take them apart anyway so you might as well test fit another set.
I was told by Ricor that a few sets went out big and they have replaced a few sets due to that. So, again, I would contact them.

I didn't hammer them in. What I did do is push them to the bottom of the tube with the rubber side of my framing hammer. There was no hammering involved.

No I have not contacted them since I spoke with Brian the day I was installing them and found them not to be 'drop-in'. May be worth a call. I've already sort of struck a deal with someone. Let me see what Ricor says.
Cbz...I just spoke with Ricor and Brian confirmed what you mentioned. He's going to get a new set out to me no questions asked, and include a return shipping label for the old ones.
That's fair customer service in my book. Like i said, I wasn't badmouthing the company or the product. I may or may not install the new ones. I don't know if the tightness caused the extremely stiff ride for me or what. Where I live and do most of my riding has horrible roads.
Thanks for the heads up though. I did remember they would do a 100% refund if I wasn't happy and that came from the owner right here on the forums in another thread.
Right on vic! Had to be a bad set man...new ones should work out for ya without that much force to get em in! Good luck...sounds like outstanding customer service, kinda rare these days!

That's moreorless what I told Brian @ Ricor. Told him I appreciated that level of customer service.
I just don't know if the oversized insert gave me a hard ride or what. I'd almost rather just put in some aftermarket springs and go from there. I don't know.
Pull the front end apart to swap Intiminators. Test. Possible front end disassembly again to remove / install aftermarket springs (Progressive / Works). That would make like 8 times I've had that front end apart since April/May.
