Search on this as there are many people on here who have had the bad IPB. If mine goes they are fixing it. If I have to pay I will go to court to enforce the first letter. It's a matter of principle to me. But if I do the first thing I will do is subpoena ALL of their warranty repair records worldwide on this issue and present them to the Judge. I doubt once they get a subpoena they will balk at having to have to publish the high number of failures on this product.

I thought the early 06 bikes were the ones affected. I did not get a letter and have had no problems.

I remember that. It said bring it back at x number of miles to get the inner bearing checked. They have had LOTS of issues with that bike. MY stator flew apart. The dealer covered it out of warranty.

I'm pretty sure the recission letter went out in Feb. '06; after the lawyers told 'em that first letter was a major drop trou. Any bikes delivered after that date wouldn't have gotten the first letter, though the problem was still there. The tranny and IPCases didn't get the case alignment dowels until the '07 models.
