I'm a lightweight...7800 miles on mine. 5100 last year, not so much this year. Ohio weather sucked pretty bad til mid-June, then kids sports took precident over going for a ride. Although I would suspect that the vast majority of posters around here own newer bikes.
ive got 70, 000 on my current top end and over 110,000 on the bottom end. i bought my 2000 dyna in 2005 with 45, 000 on it. the top end was rebuilt at 40,000.
Glad to see people putting miles on their bike, after spending 10+ years at dealerships seeing people buy new bikes then going home to grab there trailer or bringing them in for service on one. Dynas will not self destruct at 50k, Matter of fact Dyna models is the only family of Harley Davidson that has the same team start building the bike from start to finish, but all bikes are very good bikes just as long as you keep up with the services and don't let them sit.Letting a bike sit can be just as bad as running a bike hard.
Boneyards will never see a harley even if its twisted in half, Insurance companys make more money if they go to auctions than being sold back to the owners and they all sell high i would say do to the price of the parts.
A harley should last you a very long time,I own a 69 shovelhead and i am in the process of replacing the frame do to the fact I had a ridged frame witch means running no rear suspention.
Hope this helps with your post.
