After reading all these replys, I've noticed that most people who think this bike (nice or not) should not be called a Wide Glide, own a Wide Glide and most people who think the bike is a Wide Glide don't own a Wide Glide. Interesting to say the least....
By the way, this bike is nice but it is Not a Wide Glide.
You must have a degree in something....nobody else could ever have figgered that one out......
I think the reason why the people that think it is a Wide Glide think that way is because they can read. Maybe the others that don't think it is a Wide Glide can't read?
Seriously though the reason why most of the folks with older Wide Glides don't like it very much is because they like the look of the older Wide Glides or else they wouldn't own one. Like '09fxdb said ....nobody else could ever have figgered that one out......
Doesn't matter if they like it or not though, it's still called a Wide Glide.

The point of this thread was originally just about the name of the bike....not if you like it or not. I would like to make one point on the subject...
If you saw this bike in the showroom and didn't know that they remade the Wide Glide, would you assume that it was a Wide Glide based on the looks now? Personally I would assume it was a new Dyna with a wide glide front end just like the discontinued softails with the same front end.

You know, last week I was at a dealer and I love WGs. Always have..but I walked right past a '10 WG without even blinking an eye. That's gotta say something...it blends in too much. The funny thing is it was about 20' inside the main entrance basically right out in the open.

Yes I would know (just like anyone else that can read) since it says Wide Glide right on the battery cover. I believe it even says it on the air cleaner trim ring but it's hard to see that little print from the picture. See?
