New brake pads apparently need to be "broken in" by only doing gentle braking for a certain amount of time, and if this isn't done they might never work right, at least this is what the owners manuals say. My main complaint about the rear brake is that it sometimes seems to get a glaze on the rotor that makes the brakes moan very loudly until this glaze wears off. Not very cool to have your brakes make so much noise.

For the moaning I've read in a thread some months ago to slam on the brakes really hard. I was getting the moan up front and I went about 60 and hit the front brake pretty hard and the moan went away and haven't heard it since, and that was about 3 months ago I believe. I haven't had any problems with the rear and I don't know what you would do for that unless you ride them hard, but don't lock it up.

Heard of them, never known anyone to have them. I'm wouldn't waste money on it because I think the brakes work fine and I've never had to lock them up in the 11 years I've been riding other then the safety course. That was only the rear. I did an indo on my R6 when a baby deer ran out in front of me, but I was only going 35.

I don't use a lot of rear brake, but I have no problem locking it up if I step on it. If these units work like they say, then they would probably work good for the rear. Something to ponder.
