no worries, I never get offended. I've ridden more this year even with the rain than last year. It took me 2 years to convince the old lady to jump on the back to go for a spin...I think the noise is there just to let me know it just went out of warranty

Work that girl! I got my 'olady on yesterday for a 5 hour trip.She's warming up to it,but I doubt she will ever embrace the passion.
During the last hour she said she was getting tired of the whole stradling posture-I told her she ain't seen nothing yet!
