Think Duct tape, man's best friend..... :-)

Duct tape the GPS to your handlebar/riser... it will be a classic look.

I don't think I'd trust the mounting ball at 60mph + vibration, let alone the suction cup

Thanks guys. Hmmm....falls off your car's windshield all the time? Didn't want to hear that. Dirt on the glass maybe messing wit da suction ?

I like the idea of the cable tie safety line on the handlebar.

Speedo bezel might work the best. Or maybe around my neck, dangling like a gold chain.

I'll report back in a few days to advise whether it held or flew off like a space shuttle tile.

At least it's the el cheapo model Garmin ($150.00 after rebate) not one of the fancy $$$ ones.

I placed a piece of velcro on the center of my console below the idiot lights and attached it there. The ball part is not strong enough to stay in position with the wind... Tried it and failed.

I agree with everyone that feels this is a bad idea.

A. It wont stay..just a warm day is all it takes to dry up your spit

B. I couldnt imagine scratching up my paint for a GPS

C. You can put the thing in your pocket. Stop and use it while at break...it is the drivers resposibility to know were you are going..not a bitch in the box...learn your route. You might as well be talking on your cellphone while your riding too.

D. It's gay

Good luck with it. I should get more coffee in me now

Rather stick it on your speedo, you can get your speed and distance from the GPS, it also wont leave a ring on your paint and you will get better suction on the glass,

I've only used one to calibrate my previous bike's speedo. I stuck the suction cup on the face of the speedo, at least it's flat and wax free. Better grip than on the tank or shield.

1st trip I took with mine I had a $29.00 tank bag with a clear window in it.
Worked fine, but the RAM mount is the way to go...
