I am confused here folks, on other boards I got as many as 51 replies about getting a free vest for a report, but only got 2 this time so I will be sending a vest to Scott in Brookfield and Bill in New Rochelle. Please confirm on this board and I will get the vests in the mail.---cheers ---Jack
Maybe they are the only 2 using a windshield on a Dyna

Hi Jack

The vest arrived today , geez, that was FAST! It looks like you are on to something here. The temps today are in the high 90's so I will not be evaluating it for a few days until it is a bit more realistic out there, but you can be rest assured that I will be back with a full evaluation soon.

The overall vest looks very good and seems to be very functional, and with the inside pockets, it provides a secure place for your valuables or whatever you decide to put in there. The liner is a nice touch also, very classy.
The only thing that I see that could be changed is possibly a flap over the outside pockets with maybe a snap to secure any items placed in there.
Your recommended sizing fits well and the excess lacing on the sides can be woven back up through the eyelets or cut off if there is no future plans of expansion.

Again, Thanks Jack for choosing me for this evaluation and I am anxious to see if it eliminates the problem I am having with the german helmet lifting at speeds, will let you know.

TC

Thank you TC; I am one of those who believes in quality so the vest is that but the proof is in the ride, I sure hope it helps that helmet lift for you---cheers---jack

Ok Jack
Here's the review of the vest I promised you.

Went out yesterday and tried out your aero vest and found that it worked well as you advertised. I have a low profile winshield on my SE Deuce , and being 5' 10', I found that it created much turbulence under the german helmet that I wear at road speeds. The helmet at times would pull back on the chin strap to a point of being uncomfortable and tilt the helmet backwards because of the brim on the helmet. When I tried it with your vest on, I noticed at about 45 MPH that the flaps lifted and that the wind was being diverted around my face and head and made for a much more comfortable ride. The helmet was now comfortable to wear and the chin strap did not pull nearly at all, proof that your design really does work! I'm not an easy sell when it comes to most things , but the aero vest does exactly what you say it will, plus providing a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience. The only thing I would change as mentioned earlier , is to put pocket flaps with snaps for protedtion of your personal things, but otherwise, it's a great product and I will get some good use out of it.

Thanks for a great invention Jack

Bill

you can go to JP cycles and find windshield lowers for HD's with a mounting kit that works with HD shilds. They eliminate the problem, no wind coming up around the tank and up into your face. Try it!

Hey Stevenml155, could you post a link to where you found those windshield lowers? I poked around on JP Cycles and couldn't find them.

I don't have the direct link, but ck out the section under "memphis shades"- they are the ones who make them and they come in 8 or 9 different colors as well. The mounting kit clamps around the fork if you have an HD windshield already, if you have a memphis shades windshield it will connect right to it. The mounting system is about $56 and the lowers are $53 -- they work really well -- if I can find the link I'll post it.

I posted a picture of my bike in the general area under "updated 05 dyna" -- it has a picture of the lowers on the bike w/the HD windshield -- at JP CYCLES site go under the Harley Catalog section, then click on 'windshields and accessories' then look for memphis shades info. The JP catalog has them as well.
