Default Aileron Hand Grips Question

If you have Aileron hand grips installed on your Dyna, I have a question.

If you have ever had or seen these, they have a chromed "lip" I assume is for a better grip. I think I installed the correctly, but the "lip" is so far under, that it is almost at my finger tips. I looked at an installed set on an Ultra at the dealer and the "lip" is further up and make contact with the middle of the finger. I have taken them off and tried to find a way to adjust them and I can't see it. Has anyone had a set of these and can tell me if there is a way to adjust where they sit?

PS, it is the throttle side that I am having an issue with.

When I put mine on they only went on one way, the directions made me go to the manual on the throttle cables but the clutch side fit into the notches on the switch housing. But they do fit mid finger.

The clutch side fits perfect, I forgot to say that it is the throttle side that does not fit right. I did not have a manual at the time, but I do now, I will try to refit them, thanks for the info.

They should only fit one way. Mine look like Mike's as well. Are both misaligned, or just the throttle? The clutch side should fit into the switchgear housing only 1 way (there's a slot for it) and the throttleshould fit with the cables attaching on the top (again, only 1 way to do it).
