Default Tips on washing bike with SE Heavy Breather

I've washed many a bike with the Ness B/S naked but just wondering if I need to cover or somehow protect the filter on the SE Heavy Breather now that I've installed it on my bike. Any tips out there?

+1. I put a plastic bag over to and a rubber band around the elbow to seal it off.

Thanks, kinda sounds like what I planned on doing. Always used a womens plastic hair cover for the B/S so not too much of a change.

I guess you don't ride in the rain?

If you are not just putting a high pressure washer right up against it will be fine for a wash.
I wash mine at the car wash with no cover, never have had a problem with it.

I haven't washed it yet this year. Haven't been out in the rain. I take it back, I did wash it once when I got back from 1400+ ride around the state the last week-end of May. I'll definitely wash it though before winter gets here.

Haven't taken any photos yet. Not really sure I'm sold on the look yet. Wish I hadn't sold my old set-up in case I decide to ditch the Heavy breather.

I bucket wash, wet a microfiber, and have one dry to wipe, on engine I spray with Shout and brush with toothbrush, then rinse freely with water. If I go close to Sea I then go to pressure washer.
