If you haven't already checked Basic tied with Topper for June BOTM. I know it's good that Basic get's to be in first place, but I was so sure he had the win that a tie for first just seems unreal. So congrats to Basic for managing to climb to the top while having topper hang on to his feet the whole time.[sm=sigh.gif]
Certainly that's a win for best dyna, in my book. If you just look at the number of people in the bagger forum vs. the number of people in the dyna forum, Basic won big time in any sort of per capita/votes per total number of members comparison. Kind of makes me lose interest in any future BOTM competitions when you look at what wins.
Well as nice as it would have been to take it all a tie is no small feat considering the number of people in the Touring forum is probably at least 5 to 1 compared to the Dyna forum. The bagger guys seem to rally around one another (baggers for baggers) and we did the same thing in a way to make a showing this month. Has a Dyna ever won BOTM anyway? I don't harbor any sort of resentment and it's all in good fun. All of the bikes were sweet rides. I do agree that the true custom stuff is often overlooked. Jhogan20 only received 6% of the vote and his bike was absolutely beautiful. It was very simple, clean, and unique and he built it from the ground up...a true custom. While I did a lot of custom things to mine he did that and then some and came out with an incredible bike that for some reason was completely overlooked. He deserved to be right at the top of the competition. Thanks alot for all the votes and positive comments guys. Maybe the few additional things I have planned will help it make a strong showing for BOTY.
A tie, WTF, maybe the fix was in.I nominate/vote for the bike I like the best whether it be a bagger......or a softail. Bagger's forever![sm=devilgrin.gif] Bolt on vs. custom, get real.[X(]
