My bike got to the dealership on Tuesday 5/30. How long does it take to set it up? They told me I'd be riding this weekend. I'm sick of waiting and then waiting while my bike is in a crate. Anyway, just had to vent. I'd like to hear your experiences.
grr Id be upset to with the weather being nice an a new bike just out of hands reach, I never had to order 1 I always bought mine off the floor so I didnt have a wait but Id be rippin my hair out if I had to wait.
My sales guy kept trying to jerk me around so he could be there when I picked up my bike. Bought mine on a Saturday, it arrived on the following Tuesday and he wanted me to wait until the upcoming Saturday to pick it up because he was off on Thursday and Friday and the Bike was really done by late Wednesday afternoon. I called bullsh$t on him and made the sales manager turn it over to me on Thursday while he was off rubbing his crank. If you paid for it, and it's ready, make them cough it up!!! Be firm!!
My stealership has thier stock online,...so I found the bike I wanted,..over the internet,...I emailed them and told the what I wanted done to it,...and gave my credit info,...that was 12:00noon,........at 3:00pm,....I signed the papers,...at 3:30pm,.....I was in love.

They won't do the paperwork until it's ready for pickup. My loan with my credit union almost expiered before I could get someone to give me a purchase order so I could get them a check. Overall I've been pretty unhappy with my first Harley purchase. Is it because I'm not spending $20K+ on a bike?
I hope that's not an indication of the kind of service you'll get after the sale!
It probably is. All they wanna do is sell me HD accessories. That's precisely why I'm not buying a single accessory from them. I'm just gonna get everything online and do all maintenance my self. At this point I just want to pickup my bike and never go back there again.
Could be because the bike and paperwork are shipped separately. If you ship paperwork on the same truck with new bikes and the truck gets hijacked or stolen. Then you have a bunch of stolen bikes with legal paperwork.
Man, I feel for ya. I was told my bike would be in on march 10 and found out it was not on the truck, had to wait another week. When it arrived it only took 2 or 3 days. If your dealer is a good size one then there may have been 25 to 30 bikes on the truck. I'd give them till Wednesday and then go in swinging a club. lol. No matter how bad they **** you off, I say you'll drive away with a smile.
