only happened once... I had it in 2nd.and gunned the throttle a few times ... shifted back in to neutral...
other than that it has not given me any issues!
You may also want to check out the Stripper bars from Todd's Cycles: http://www.toddscycle.com/parts/bars/stripper_bars.html They are a similar bend, but are 1.25" and don't have the gussets. I've found them on ebay for about $100 less than the price on the site.
