I finally was able to pull the trigger on quick detachable stuff. I really like the bobber look, but had to keep the two up seat on (for the little woman & trips) till I could do everything. So now in less than five minutes I go from 'ready for a ride,' to 'ready for a trip.' With a windshield, 2-up seat, backrest/luggage rack and saddle bags. Sweet.

Nice, Steve. What kind of bags are those? They look much smaller than the HD bags I have (didn't have 'em on at Pine Springs), and that you see on most Dynas.
They are Saddlemen bags. "Large Slant" they call them, but I'm with you small or medium slant would be more accurate. A friend of mine in Spokane gave them to me a couple of months ago. I like them, and they'll give us the space we need if I take the wife on a trip... which we have planned for mid Sept. Looking forward to that, though I don't know where we are headed yet.
Very nice man! If I could afford it, I'd have some quick detach bags.. but I'm broke broke BROKE! lol.. Thats a nice tour setup. Gotta love the versatility of these Dyna's!
Thanks guys. Next I need to work on finding a sweet solo seat. The stock one is just OK. I wish there was a place where I could go try several out with a test ride.
After that... engine work! it just never ends does it?
Gotta love the detachable stuff. I started out with a rigid sissy bar and so I left my 2-up seat on all the time too. Hated it. Also been there with the stock solo as well. Hated it. I can live without saddle bags but I do have detachable sissy bar with a big bag that fits on it, comfy 2-up seat, and detachable windshield. They collect dust most of the time. But with those and the knurled seat screw I bought, I can swap between solo and 2-up in just a couple of minutes.

Steve, time to whip out the credit card again.
I opted out for the Mustang Vintage Solo, with the spool washer, and the Mustang passenger Pillion. I keep a fender bib over the fender at all times, and put the pillion over it when the rugrats are in town.
And I like your bags. I put the same ones on the OL's Sporty. The bags are a lot bigger than they look. I went with the Saddleman hard back Dyna bags on mine, which are slightly bigger and have the cut outs for the shock and running gear.
I like the direction you took. Super cool to Ultra cool and back in a matter of minutes. You'll be a poser like me in no time
