Ok, maybe I should have been a bit more descriptive, Does a fat front tire really improve Handling a noticeable amount?

Can't give you the Street Bob comparison since I've never ridden one, but I have to say, that for it's size the FatBob's handling is awesome. It feels like a Sportster on steroids. I know that comment may draw fire from the hard core crowd, but it handles like a much smaller bike. You do have to have some upper body strength, but I will never look back.

When you're riding it, it's doesn't take long to feel like you're at one with it...I know that sounds corny, but its true! Besides...I'm a strong believer that the bike (or any vehicle for that matter) tells you a lot about the owner. For me...the bike "fits" me and my personality.

In one word, Yes. Larger contact patch, less susceptible to roadway defects, handles potholes better, feels better planted.

Narrower large diameter front tires, fat rear tires are great for looks and cruising and nothing wrong with that.

The fatbob is shorter and has a smaller wheelbase than the StreetBob. It has a bit more trail but weights more (in the tires and forks). Front brakes are much more resistant to fade and have less effort, easier to modulate.

Significant difference in handling is subjective but a good rider can seem to make a street bob handle better than a mediocre fatbob rider. They are different feeling bikes, fatbob with a better seating position for handling, Street Bob may be more comfortable, depending on the body.

Noticeable? I noticed the FatBob was smoother on the South Dakota grooved interstate compared to my skinny assed Wide Glide tire. I thought the bike was a dream to ride - for the 8 miles I test rode it. The thing I liked the best was the dual front brakes. Damn that is nice compared to my single disk.

If I had to buy a dyna today - it would be the FatBob
