Spark Plugs
CRZYLGZZ - check this site and read the very last statement and you may change
your mind about plugs are plugs - www.harleyhelp.com/sparkplg.html BTW - most
dealers stopped carrying SE Splitfires because of come-backs / quality control issues.

you can also get a better burn if you mark the plug where the gap opening is, then when you install it make sure that gap faces the center of the jug... old trick my dad taught me... works great!
Same here (well $8.00 for both) and the 6R12's are as good as any of the other HD plugs. Anything over that is a waste of money.
Thanks Light, ill read it.
Ok ill step back and reevaluate.
My problem is IF HD is selling Champion plugs, why pay 7 for those plugs when i can go to AutoZone, or what have ya and get the same plugs for 2.
granted its only a few dollars.
but its the principle of the overcharging that gets me all twisted.

I run E3 diamondfires # E3.36 and they are like $6 a plug and it feel better then stockers to me!! I'm tempted to put the stocker back in to see the difference again. But when I put the E3s 5k miles ago it was a noticeable difference.

CRZYLGZZ - some followup info. The turbo crowd does insane things that require spark
plugs to function in a ridiculous situation - 30 psi and 1400 degrees. Coincidentally, new
car manufactures are looking for ways to meet higher fuel mileage requirements - hence
modern computerize systems that include coil-on-plug - no wires. Along with these
advancements have come Iridium spark plugs - Denso, NGK and Autolite are the most
popular. FYI - go here http://www.automedia.com/Iridium_Spa...ht20010101ds/1
for some interesting info. BTW - Kenny Duttweiller is the man with turbos. IMHO.

Yea it seemed smoother acceleration and more get up. I run E3's in my Escalade, Impala and Harley. In the escalade the high RPM misfire code that would pop up when towing hasn't come back since I switched to E3s. The Impala just seems like it runs effortlessly.
