Question for a 96"/6sp Dyna owner with a tach...

I realized while riding A1A (beach) today that my bike loves 4th gear and 50mph. It's just smooth as silk, with lots of power and my Big Shots are playing my favorite tune.

Any idea what my RPM's are?

around 3000, on lowrider I don't get into 5th unless I'm going over 60, they are geared alot differant than the softails on my softail it seemed to like 5th after 50 mph

+1... 60mph for 5th and 70mph for 6th here.

My cams start coming on around somewhere between 2 and 2.5K, so I ususally keep the RPM in that range when I'm in town. Otherwise, with this setup, just twist the gas!

yeah I don't get the "my sixth gear sucks" statements.
I was just noticing today that 6th @ 3K is prime cruising speed (~80) and at the beginning of the 255's power curve.
