Default HELP! Oil leak '08 Wide Glide

My '08 Wide Glide has decided to start marking it's territory. It appears like the leak is somewhere between the starter and primary case. Anyone have any idea what could be causing it? It looks like it's coming from the 3-6 o'clock position of the starter area (when looking at the bike from the primary side. I can't tell where exactly, but there is definitely something leaking. It does not appear to be coming from the front (6-12 o'clock position). Is this something I should look to fix myself, or should I just take it to the dealer (it's stilll under warranty). Also, I didn't buy it from the local shop - I went to the other side of town to save about $1500.... Should I take it to the local dealer (am I asking for trouble?) or should it go to the dealer I purchased it from? (For those in Austin, I bought it from the dealer south of town, instead of the one north of town.....)

Take it in to any dealer since it is under warranty. Does not matter where you bought it. Hell the dealer I bought mine from over filled the crankcase and caused the oil leak that mine now has.

My '07 had a bad inner primary seal, and it was fixed under warranty, it too was leaking from around the same area you described. Always take it to get repaired under warranty.

Is this the dreaded inner primary bearing? I thought the inner primary would be up towards the front, not in the back of the primary where the front sprocket is.... Crap.

IPB is not a leak... It is a bearing that goes out because the primary case and tranny do not line up correctly. That is why HD added dowels to align the cases.

No, it's just a gasket... more or less. It's a simple fix. Mine was in and out in two days.
If that's what it is.
