mid controls 1996 wide glide
I just got a 1996 wide glide and the forwards are just a little to much of a reach for me. I want a compleat mid control kit for this bike and have been checking e gay and craigslist but I'm not sure what years I should be looking at. does anybody on here know what years are interchangable? Or does anyone on these boards have a set gathering dust they feel like selling? Thanks for the help FNG
'96 to '03....I just ordered a set of mid brackets for mine so that I can keep the forwards and still have the mid peg option for long trips.....Oh, and I also just ordered a reach seat from HD that will move me forward an inch or so.

Also I know I will have to pull my innerprimary to put the shift shaft in but what I don't know is if there is just a plug in the primary or if I will have to have it machined for the shaft? Are wide glide primarys different than the rest of the dynas?

As far as I know, the dyna's that come with forward controls from the factory have the solid primary. The dyna's that people convert to forwards from mids have a plug they put on the primary to fill the hole.
