This seems to work rather well.
I found this giant mousepad at the office supply store and cut it to match the two up seat pan. The big pad cost $9.00.
phreak it was your weather stripping that gave me the idea
Tried it out yesterday, worked great!
I do prefer the look and comfort of the the stock solo seat. But the wife and I do a lot of riding. Now I can put on the pad with the hd Touring Seat (51472-06) and the detachable Backrest when I am riding two up and not worry about the fender getting screwed up.
awsome i was wondering how i was gonna protect my demin black.... can u post a pic of your bike with the seat installed i have a chance to buy a seat like that and am wondering how good they look .. thanks

Best of both worlds.
Cool!
Did you glue the pad to the bottom of the seat, or do you leave it seperate and lay it over the phender before putting on the touring seat.
Yes the seat is big - but it keeps the wife happy in long rides. She says that it is more comfortable then the Sundowner we had on the
FXDI (RIP). Best part is that it all comes off and back to the solo when ever i want.
Hey subculture08...I did the same set-up for my wife on my '06 low rider...works good. BTW do you have any other pictures of your bike with the street slammer bars, I was thinking of putting a set on. A front and side profile would be great if you had it.
I found some stuff yesterday that works pretty well ... $2 at Dollar General ... Heavy Duty Tool box liner. It's a waffle-cone rubbery liner. Easy to cut to shape and comes in a 12"x5' roll. Took a 2-up ride yesterday and couldnt even tell the pillion had been on the bike at all.
