I'd sign up for 50/50 but it's bursty -- sometimes I'll leave the bags on for a long time then one day decide I hate the look of them and take them off for a long time. Then one day I decide I need the storage space.

I took a long trip at the end of June and had the bike in "mini-bagger mode" (windshield, bags, sissy bar & pack.) When I finally got home, I stripped the bike down to pure, bare Dyna and have been riding that way.

But the answer that says they pay off when washing and servicing is truth. Even when I'm in a bag phase, I'm happy I can pop the bags off to wash the bike.

Use mine all the time due to the fact that I am required to wear personal protective equipement (Full fingered gloves, long sleeved high bright upper garment [reflective during low visibility conditions], over ankle leather boots). Got to have a place to put all that crap when I get to the unit. But if I am just out riding like on the weekend off come the bags because I usually keep the stuff with me when I make a short stop.

I'm sorry but I think Barebacks and easybrackets make the bags hang out to the point of lookin' like outriggers on a kayak. I like the look of bikes without bags better, but I bought my bike to ride and enjoy. My bags are on all the time ,attached tight to the sides. I dont think I have ever gone 50 feet that I wasn't glad that I had em. YMMV

i have just put mine on... i have to say i love the look and love the storage. I still take them off if i have nothing to go in there... it has been nice to use the bike to go from place to place though!
i run them about 50/50 as of right now. but in the winter i can tell they will be on all the time.

On most of the time since I installed the ez's. Before that I had throwovers on every bike. A sissy bar bag before the ez's on this bike. I am kind of a pack rat and I am always carrying something. I need the option and I HATE back packs on motorcycles!

I couldn't justify the price of QD's so I just got some throw overs thinking they'd only be on when I need them. Now I can't tell you how many times I'd be out riding, not having them on thinking I wouldn't need them, and then wish I'd brought them along.

Now it seems more often than not, I just leave them on cause I like "knowing" I have the storage whether I use it or not.

So for me it's probly 90 on and 10 off.

My next bike will definately be a bagger.

Well I've only had my QD bags (Easybrackets) for about a week so my input on that isn't worth much, but so far its *never*. I just like the look of a lean bobber style.

Last night I needed to carry some stuff, and I grabbed my backpack. The only reason I think I'll put them on is when I'm on a trip. I would have gone with throw-overs, but didn't want the wire protector always on my bike. For whatever reason they don't make those QD.

I sort of like changing the look of the bike. QD windshield, QD tourpack, QD saddlebags, QD sissy bar, a couple of different seats and a luggage rack that I sometimes use when I have the original seat on the bike. Windshield and bags are about 50/50, just depends on where I am going. Tourpack is on once in a while when I take a trip.

I prefer how the bike looks with all the QD stuff off with the original seat and luggage rack, but if I left the bike that way I would not ride as much as I do.

When I was getting ready to leave to go to Sturgis I had the bags, windshield, tour pack etc all on the bike and my neighbor thought I had gotten a new bike.
