Default Why Quick Detachable bags.

I've given a lot of thought to this and I'm really wondeing if having QD bags is worth the extra effort. It's very seldom that I ride now that I'm not looking for a place to put stuff. I'm just wondering if they wouldn't stay on the bike more than off. So if you have QD bags, how much time are they on/off the bike? 50/50?

people think they will only use them occasionally, but once they see how nice it is to have them they never take them off.

Washing/cleaning/servicing the bike it's nice to have them off and set to the side. I don't think I have ever taken a ride with The Wife and not had the bags on there. If I'm just zippin' around town, I'll leave em off if they are already off.

But I'd say 80/20 for on/off the bike.

Mine are definately on more than off. Probably 80/20.

But it is nice to strip everything off and ride lean now and then.

Everybody has an opinion on this, me included.
I used to keep the bags on all the time, but my preferences have changed.

Now its leave the bags off, and only put them on when I need to have them.
Used to be 80/20, now its 10/90. Especially since I have all that polished aluminum on the rear I MUST show off.
