Brown truck showed up at work so I took a late lunch and ran home to intall my power commander III.
Nice 15 min install.
V&H's Short shots,Ness Big Sucker and now the PCIII and holly cow I've got a new bike
Throttle response, sound and power all stepped up a notch.
Now its time to get back to work...........and I think I'll take my bike
Thanks to all the guys who gave me tips on what to set it up with........you know who you are.
I've got a 'big sucker' in the box, pipes (close to being) on the way, and need some type of tuner... Why id you go with a PCIII instead of th PCV and what's the difference between the two?
I did my pipes/ac/tuner all at once and it felt good, then I did the cams and it was better, then the 30T pulley and that really did the trick, the best SOP feel was the regear.
Had a set of V&H Double Barrel's, Stage I SE/AC and a PCIII installed over the winter.
Also had it dyno tuned, AND had the mechanic set it to run richer to help reduce the heat. The darn EPA had them running way to lean for my taste. Here's the readout if anyone's interested......btw, the Graph show me as having "Big Shots", but I actually have the Double Barrel Q Series.
Side note I've been keeping track of my MPG since the mods I've described above, I'm averaging 41.1mpg
Stock set up & running lean I was getting 46.3 mpg
