Grape Ape,
What is the part#, because I just talked to HD, and they say those don't fit Street Bobs.

Windvest all the way on the street bob. I went with 16 inch, and I am only 5'10 or so, smoked lense. It isn't quick release, but I never take it off, because it isn't that big. We went on a 15 hour day (700 miles) through Kansas, Miss, Iowa, Nebraska two weekends ago for the ABC's of Touring for HOG members. I highly recommend it. As many have said, keeps the wind blast off your chest, 95% of the bugs off, but doesn't kill the looks. Also, I get about 2 mpg better then my buddy who has an 06 dyna (not a bob) with a full windshield.

Once again, the HD parts guys are on top of things -- yeah. This is the information right off the Harley Davidson website:

Quick Release Detachable Super Sport Windshield

Eliminates wind and debris, but keeps the wind-in-the-hair feeling. Ideal for a cool morning ride to the office, the sleek profile of the Super Sport Windshield hugs the front headlamp for a sporty look. The windshield mounts to the fork tubes with elegant die-cast lever locking clamps, so the windshield does not require any "leave-behind" docking hardware. You get quick on-and-off convenience and a clean, custom look. No tools are required, and the kit includes everything needed to install the windshield.

This product is available in multiple variations. Be sure to look for the one that fits the specific model and year of your motorcycle.

hey Ape, how tall are you? I'm 5'7 and was looking at the new sport windshield. Wondering what would work best for me.

I'm barely 5'5". I don't think the super sport shield is much shorter than the standard shield. I have to look through it instead of over it. So far no problems with that though. I was riding after dark last night and I could see fine. My only concern would be rain. Hubby told me to put "Rainex?" on the shield. I do have another inch or so that I could move the shield down, but then I think the top of it would be in that awkward line of sight position, so I think I'll leave it where it is. It's hard to say, but at 5'7" I would think you could adjust the shield to its lowest position to look over it if that's what you wanted - it would be close though.

I like to look over the shield, I believe it should be 2 inches below your eyes. Perhaps the windvest or the Harley low profile?
